As we gear up for another exciting school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. Your support and investment in SHC continues to make a significant impact on the growth and development of our innovative curriculum, inclusive community and modern campus.
We are dedicated to the intellectual and academic excellence that prepares our students for success in their academic pursuits and beyond. Through the collective efforts of our community, we can maintain the high standards of excellence we strive for in all aspects of our school.

Meet the Team
Magda Jisrawi Lara ‘00
Magda serves as the Director of Advancement. She brings nearly 20 years of advancement experience, most recently serving at The Nueva School and The American Cancer Society. Magda is honored to contribute to the growth and development of a school that shaped her in her youth. The SHC motto, "enter to learn, leave to serve", is something that has stuck with her and why she chose a career in nonprofit.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Magda attended University of San Francisco and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. She now lives in Pacifica with her family. They love being close to the beach and regularly take hikes with their two dogs.
Shawn McGuire ‘05
Shawn serves as the Associate of Alumni and Parent Engagement. After working 10 years in college athletics in athletic academic advising, Shawn is returning to her alma mater to join the Advancement Team. As she embarks on this exciting new chapter at SHC, she is excited to use her diverse skill set, passion for education, and dedication to fostering strong relationships to become a valuable asset with the Advancement Team and SHC community.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Shawn received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from UCLA and her master’s degree in Sport Management from University of San Francisco. She enjoys traveling, cooking and attending sporting events.
Lauren Wild ‘99
Lauren has served her alma mater for over 17 gratifying years. After attending California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo and receiving her Masters in Environmental and Civil Engineering she returned to SHC to work in the Advancement Office. Though starting in Advancement, in 2020 she also joined the Admissions team as Database Administrator. She has used the skills for problem solving that she learned at Cal Poly to create and maintain the Salesforce database for the Advancement and Admissions offices. She also enjoys moderating the Earth Action club on campus and traveling.
Isabella (Izzy) Cerri ’16
Isabella serves as the Alumni Engagement Associate. Izzy always knew she would be back to serve her alma mater, growing up with a deep-rooted connection to the school. She is thrilled to bring her love and enthusiasm for SHC into the role and is excited to rekindle the spirit of togetherness amongst fellow alumni. Izzy attests her calling to serve others to her time spent at SHC.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Izzy returned home after two years at the University of Arizona and graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. You’ll often find her cheering on her favorite sports teams, the SF Giants and Golden State Warriors!
Andrew Ng '14
Andrew serves as the Annual Giving Manager. After graduating from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo, Andrew decided to return to his alma mater in 2019 as a swimming coach . In 2022, he joined the Advancement team, becoming a full-time staff member on campus. He is excited to work in partnership with Sacred Heart Cathedral families and loves interacting with students on campus. After work, he would always stay to watch different sports compete in the Sister Teresa Piro, DC, Student Life Center Pavillion.
Victoria Ball '16
Victoria serves as the Individual Database & Advancement Associate. After returning from Seattle, Washington with a Bachelor in Writing, Victoria found herself back at her Alma Mater. She has been with the Advancement team since the Fall of 2022 and has quickly fallen back in love with Sacred Heart Cathedral: both its campus and community.
When she’s not diving head first into data for Advancement, Victoria enjoys spending her time with her Newfoundland dog. She also enjoys writing and storytelling in her free time, connecting with friends to share these stories and adventures.
