Chorus

The Sacred Heart Cathedral Chorus offers a vibrant and inclusive environment for singers of all levels, from large ensemble participants to auditioned specialty groups. Led by experienced choral educators and musicians, the program nurtures vocal technique, musicality, and artistic expression. Students engage in a wide range of performing experiences, from traditional choral repertoire to contemporary works, and develop leadership, collaboration, and performance skills. By fostering a supportive and inspiring community, the SHC Chorus empowers students to explore their passion for singing and grow as confident, versatile musicians.

The SHC Chorus performs regularly for the school community, including Winter and Spring concerts, Lessons and Carols, liturgical celebrations, special events, and athletic events. Beyond campus, students participate in outreach performances, workshops, and national and international tours, with destinations such as Italy, France, the Philippines, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, England, New York City, and Hawai’i. The program encompasses six performing ensembles—including Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Vocal Jazz, and treble and baritone a cappella groups—allowing students to perform at the highest level while receiving hands-on training in vocal technique, ensemble performance, and musicianship.
