Explore the exciting world of math in this interactive and engaging week of activities! Students will dive into topics like probability, fractions, and more through hands-on projects designed to spark creativity and curiosity. With competitive games and discovery-based learning, this course promises a fun and dynamic experience that makes math come alive!
Cost: $450 Early Bird. $525 after April 11, 2025
Ages: Rising 5th & 6th graders

Instructor: Chris Harvey
Chris Harvey has taught all levels of middle school math and Algebra 1 previously at the high school level. He is delighted to join the SHC staff this year teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry. Mr. Harvey espouses a collaborative classroom environment that provides opportunities for students to engage in meaningful mathematical conversations with each other and articulate their understanding to their peers. Outside of school, he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, exploring the Bay area, and traveling to new cities and countries during breaks.

Instructor: Marty Joyce
Martin Joyce has taught all levels of middle school math and is delighted to join the SHC staff this year teaching Algebra 1 and AP Computer Science Principles. He believes in inquiry-based learning with rich class discussions to deepen conceptual knowledge. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters and go on hikes with his dog.
