Patrick Holmes Named SHC Head Boys Golf Coach

Sacred Heart Cathedral (SHC) is pleased to announce Patrick Holmes as its new Head Boys Golf Coach. His 15 years of coaching experience include Head Track & Field Coach at El Camino High School and Offensive Coordinator at Terra Nova High School and Jefferson High School. Holmes looks to bring his motivational coaching style to the SHC Golf Program.

Holmes joined SHC in 2022 as a member of the football coaching staff and serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the Fightin’ Irish. Holmes was a dual-sport athlete. He competed for City College of San Francisco’s (CCSF) football and track & field teams. He was a member of the 2006 California State Championship track & field team and medaled in the 100-meter dash, earning him National Junior College Athletic Association All-American honors. Holmes then went to Boise State University and Oklahoma City University, where he competed in the 100 and 200-meter dash.

An avid golfer, Holmes is grateful for the opportunity and challenge of coaching a new sport.

In addition to coaching football and golf at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Holmes is a small business owner in San Francisco and serves as a Pastor in his church.
