Brother Patrick Martin ’96 & Brother Roberto Martinez Take First Vows
On Saturday, August 2, 2014, SHC alumnus Brother Patrick Martin ’96 (right) and Instructor of Theology Brother Roberto Martinez (middle) pronounced first vows as members of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
Their vows follow the completion of their novitiate year at Mt. La Salle in Napa.
In a recent Christian Brother’s Conference article, Brother Patrick expressed his excitement to return to his ministry as a faculty member at De La Salle High School in Concord, "This is what I joined for...I’m excited to see what the gift of novitiate has given me and what that will be for the students. My motivation to teach is coming from a different place. I’m going to be a different teacher and Brother."
Prior to his time at Mt. La Salle, Brother Roberto served as an Instructor of Theology at SHC, and he is thrilled to rejoin the faculty this fall. "I’m ready to go back into ministry and do what I love, going back stronger in faith, in being able to be Brother to others."
