Dive into the current world of animal science! We’ll spend time learning about different types of animals: their basic needs, how they are connected to the environment, and their life cycles. We’ll also explore pet care, animal health concerns, the roles of veterinary specialists, and how healthy animals can keep humans (and the whole planet) healthy in turn.
Cost: $450 Early Bird. $525 after April 11, 2025

Instructor: Karim Quesada-Khoury
Karim Quesada-Khoury is a current graduate student, and has been an Assistant Librarian at SHC since February 2024. Karim’s teaching experience is primarily in the subject of English and ESL learning, but his past work at the SF Botanical Garden and the California Academy of Science has provided him with a great foundation for science education (especially with elementary school and middle school learners).
