Returning Student Orientation
Preparing for Orientation: August 14
Orientation for returning students is on Monday, August 14 and is mandatory for 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Please note the following instructions, financial status, attire, and fees needed BEFORE your st udent arrives for Orientation Monday, August 14: A. REQUIRED FORMS DUE JULY 28 The following must be completed in order for a student to participate in Orientation:- Emergency Contact/ Handbook Agreement Acknowledgement Form - Your Emergency Card/Handbook Agreement form was enclosed in the mailing sent to families July 6. Please review the data on the front and back of the form, make changes as needed and in clear handwriting, and include any information that may have been omitted . At the bottom of the form, your signatures will acknowledge that you and your child have read and will abide by the rules and regulations of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Student and Family Han dbook. Your son/daughter will not be allowed to participate on August 14 if this form is not signed by you and your child, and returned by Friday, July 28.
- Transportation Policy a nd Agreement Form - Each year, every student must complete the Transportation Agreement Form which acknowledges that he/she has read the SHC Transportation Policy and gives parent consent to alternative and/or independent forms of transportation.
- Appryse Athletic Participation Forms Registration All pre-participation forms are now done online. Go to https://app.appryse.com/enroll/AYU6SC25 to enroll. This online system tracks medical history, contact information, and Pre-participation Physical Exam (PPE) forms. Completing these online forms fulfills the requirements needed to participate in SHC athletics including team tryouts and workouts.

- AP Exam Fees Students enrolled in AP Courses must pay for each exam; the cost is $100 per test. (For example: students enrolled in 2 AP Courses will pay $200.). Click here to pay for AP Exam(s) fee online.
- Locks and Lockers Each student will be assigned a locker and must purchase a school lock for $15. Click here to pay for the lock online. You may also opt to pay with cash or check at Orientation. All locks will be distributed at Orientation.
- Digital Resource Fee All students are required to pay $25 each for digital resources, which include Math sites (e.g. IXL) and short story texts (e.g. ActivelyLearn) among other resources. Click here to pay for the digital resource fee online. You may also opt to pay with cash or check at Orientation.
Orientation for Returning Students: August 14
Class Meetings/Orientation - Monday, August 14 Sophomores, juniors and seniors are to meet in the Pavilion for class meetings. Reporting times are listed below. After this meeting, students will meet with their counselors and then proceed to the Dining Hall. Room assignments for counselor meetings will be emailed to students and families and will be posted in the La Salle Campus Plaza. REPORTING TIMES FOR CLASS MEETINGS Seniors 8 am in the Pavilion Juniors 9:30 am in the Pavilion Sophomores 12 pm in the Pavilion Please make sure you arrive at your scheduled time. You may use the link below to pay by credit card but only until August 4. Cash and checks only are accepted at Orientation. Separate check must be made out for each fee. - Please know that we do NOT honor schedule changes based on teacher preferences. Such requests will invariably be denied.
- Appeals regarding admission to honors and AP classes will not be considered because the process was completed in the spring semester; all limited enrollment courses are now full. As well, students who may have initially qualified for limited enrollment courses may no longer be qualified based on second semester grades.
- Please be aware that schedule changes will be extremely difficult to accommodate once the school year begins; therefore, it is to your advantage to request changes as soon as you receive your schedule.

The online requirements to participate in Athletics is now online. Appryse Athletic Participation Forms completed fulfills the form requirements to participate in athletic tryouts, preseason conditioning/weightlifting sessions, etc. Go to https://app.appryse.com/enroll/AYU6SC25 to enroll. Only the SHC Pre-Participation Physical Exam (PPE) Form completed online, and only forms completed by a physician (MD or DO) will be accepted and must be completed online.
