SHC Appoints New Soccer & Lacrosse Coaches

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is pleased to announce the appointment of two new head coaches—Jerry Nevin (Head Coach Boys Lacrosse) and Mike McNeill (Head Coach Boys Soccer).

Jerry Nevin played lacrosse all four years and served as team captain while earning his degree at St. John’s University. He later traveled abroad to earn a master’s from Durham University, and played on the Irish National Team from 2012-14. Since his return to San Francisco, he has coached for the Coyotes Lacrosse Club and ADVNC, and currently plays for the Olympic Club Men’s Team.

Mike McNeill currently serves as director of coaching and PDL technical director for the San Francisco Glens, the City’s largest youth soccer club. He was a two-year starter for the San Francisco State Gators after playing in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Mike has served on the United Soccer Coaches Technical Advisory Committee and was named the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Western Coach of the Year. Mike has also served on the coaching staff at San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco.
