Don Fisher Clubhouse to Serve as SHC Home Pool

Sharing in a mission to provide opportunities for San Francisco youth, SHC and the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco continue a decade-long partnership with the opening of the Don Fisher Clubhouse in Hayes Valley in February 2015. Throughout the past ten years, SHC has provided tutoring, professional services and financial aid opportunities for club members while the Boys & Girls Club has welcomed SHC students with swimming pool access at their Page Street facility. The new Don Fisher Clubhouse will serve as SHC’s home pool. The clubhouse will host practices before and after school, and thanks to a recent grant from the Olympic Club Foundation, the pool will feature a regulation timing system that will allow for USA Swimming sanctioned meets. Riley has served as the Aquatics Director and Head Swim Coach at the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco for the past three years. An Archbishop Riordan High School and University of Hawaii alumnus, Riley swam competitively throughout his high school and college careers. After college, he began his career in swim instruction and competitive youth coaching. “This partnership with the Boys & Girls Club involves our students, faculty and staff at many levels,” says President Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC, PhD. “We can reach out to our neighborhood community with our financial aid program and service-learning initiatives with tutoring, and we are able to enjoy the use of great facilities within walking distance of our campus. This is a win-win partnership.”
