TRANSFER STUDENTS

A warm welcome to you, the students and families joining SHC for the upcoming school year! This page serves as a resource for our incoming students and families, with important information, links and due dates. Please bookmark the page and check your spam folders to ensure you are opening all of your SHC communication. Information in bold may include links to other pages or forms.

We will refresh due dates, information, and links on this page until September 1. By then, all students and families will be able to use SHC’s learning management system, Schoology, for announcements, coursework, homework, and updates from groups such as SHC Announcements, the Parent Association, counselors, teams and clubs.

For your planning purposes, click here for parameter dates for the 2021-22 school year.

Student and Family Information Survey. Please look for the email with a link to this survey; your prompt completion of the survey ensures you will receive timely information as you start at SHC. If you do have not received the survey email, please contact Ms. Veronica Zermani, SHC Registrar, at vzermani@shcp.edu.

Class schedules have been mailed to students.

SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS: Our school-wide summer 2021 read was selected by the Language Other Than English (LOTE) Department. Click here for information about One School, One Question (OSOQ), including book titles and assessment. All SHC students are asked to read a book from the OSOQ list this summer. In addition, some SHC courses have summer assignments. After your course schedule arrives in the mail, be sure to click the link (at the beginning of this paragraph) for all summer assignments.

RESOURCE & BOOK LIST 2021-22: You should also use your course schedule to obtain books or pay for course resources. Please see Ms. O'Neill's video for information about using the list to purchase texts and to pay for other course materials. Note: the fee payment link and online bookstore will go live in July, after schedules are mailed to students. You may also find our Student Resources useful; students and families will receive login credentials for Schoology and PowerSchool in early August.

ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION: Tryout dates for fall sports are still being determined, but will be posted here. Click here for information on transfer student athletic eligibility from the California Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation.

Please note that all incoming students, whether or not they intend to participate in a sport, must have a pre-participation physical exam on file with the school via the Magnus Health platform. Click here for a brief tutorial on Magnus. Click here for more Sports Medicine Information.

SHC ATTIRE: All students must purchase a full green zip jacket or green quarter zip pullover top from this Mass Day attire link. SHC polo shirts and other dress code approved apparel may be purchased from the SHC Eastbay Online Store. The SHC Block Club Sweater may also be worn on Mass days for students who have earned one. Please thoroughly review the SHC Dress Code and allow three to four weeks for Eastbay to process orders to ensure students are in proper dress at orientation.

ORIENTATION & REGISTRATION for Transfer Students will be held on Thursday, August 12. Click here for details.
