Develop habits for healthy living in this one-week mini course. Help your family make the most of your surroundings by learning to think critically and creatively about the food you eat. Become a top chef and prepare seasonal juices, smoothies, soups, salads and other healthy recipes. Learn what it means to exercise in your target heart range and how exercise and diet work together to build a total wellness plan.

Field trips to locations such as farmers’ markets, restaurant kitchens and green grocery stores will inspire and educate students about ways to support a sustainable, nutritious, practical and delicious diet. Participation in a range of fitness and recreation activities will additionally model how to incorporate appropriate amounts of physical activity into your day.
