Build your own website! In this inquiry-driven course, students will learn the introductory principles of sound web design and creation. We will explore online tools and apps great for kids at any level of tech proficiency. Students will each create a dynamic website on a topic of their own choosing, incorporating images, videos, animations, blogging and more. In addtion, students will learn to identify credible websites, use effective internet search strategies, become aware of copyright laws, and practice citing sources. The week will include a field trip to a local tech company to see web design in action.

Instructor: Danielle Farinacci
Danielle Farinacci is in her 6th year as Librarian at SHC and also teaches Inquiry Research in our Inquiry & Innovation Program. She earned a BA in Literature & Creative Writing from UC San Diego and a Master of Library & Information Science from San Jose State Universtiy. She also holds a California teaching credential in Information Technology. Danielle is an avid cyclist, environmentalist, and native Californian.
