SHC’s Summer Institute Game Design Students Visit Twitter

Game Design

Students from Sacred Heart Cathedral’s Game Design class visited Twitter on Thursday, July 19th to share their 2D video game projects with a group of engineers at their new campus on Market Street. Students demonstrated their games and then showed the underlying code to the engineers. The engineers provided feedback to the students on both their code and game design.

Matt Montagne, the facilitator for this SHC Summer Institute Class, said, "This was a super opportunity for our students to receive feedback from some of the best engineers in the industry. The fact that Twitter’s new headquarters is a short walk away made it easy for us to walk over to their campus and learn more about what software engineers to. The kids really enjoyed the experience and did a great job of presenting."

SHC’s Summer Learning Institute wrapped up on Friday, July 20th, and featured a range of enrichment learning opportunities, including Architectural Design, Public Speaking, Baseball, Golf, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Football, Graphic Drawing, Spanish Immersion, Sports Writing and Digital Media and many more.
