Attention students, faculty and staff: Have you checked the Emerald website recently? There are over forty new articles posted, many from Mr. Barnes' Sophomore Honors English class. Topics vary from the firing of Mark Jackson to student opinion of BYOD and vending machines at SHC. Take a break from studying finals this weekend and check it out! The website is shcpemerald.org

Textbook Buyback: June 3-4 from 11am to 3pm
Sell your textbooks back to the SHC Bookstore and make good money! Go the SHC Web site and click on the Bookstore link to begin the process, then bring your books to buyback next Tuesday and Wednesday. 
A portion of what is earned is used to buy textbooks for SHC families next year.
 

Attention anyone interested in running cross country next fall. You need to check-in with Coach Chan before the end of Finals to make sure you are on the tryout list and to get the summer training information.

 
Student-Athletes:TODAY at 3:00pm is the deadline to sign-up, submit the form and the $25 exam fee for the Pre-participation Physical Exams being held at SHC next Tuesday, June 3rd.  Failure to do so will result in not receiving a physical exam  Please see the athletic trainers, Mr. Oscar Melero or Ms. Heather Terbeek during your lunch break or immediately after school if you have any questions.
 
LVY:  Check Schoology for the list of who gets credit.  Any omissions, contact Mr. Farrell.
 

If you did not pick up your yearbook, the unclaimed yearbooks are available from Ms. Nearney in the La Salle Attendance Office.

Textbook Buyback: June 3-4 from 11am to 3pm

Our May Walkathon Homeroom is taking place tomorrow, Friday, at 9:15 am.
Be sure to look at the lists posted on the De Paul front doors or in the Dining Hall by the plasma screen for your homeroom assignments.
For most of you your homeroom is your Block 3 class but some of you are moving so make sure you review the lists!

Student-Athletes: There will be a brief informational meeting today in the Gym immediately after school for anyone that signed up for next Tuesday's Pre-participation Physical Exams.

Student-Athletes: Tomorrow is the last day to sign-up, submit the form and pay the $25 fee for the Pre-participation Physical Exams being held at SHC next Tuesday, June 3rd.  You can sign-up online on the Sports Medicine webpage (under Athletics).  Please see the athletic trainers, Mr. Oscar Melero or Ms. Heather Terbeek if you have any questions.

Students who were unable to attend last night's academic awards, please see Ms. Collins during your lunch in the main office to pick up your award. Thank you.

All Junior baseball players should meet Coach Fran in the Library today at the beginning of lunch for a short meeting about the NCAA Clearinghouse with Mrs. Wilson.

If you did not pick up your yearbook, the unclaimed yearbooks are available from Ms. Nearney in the La Salle Attendance Office.

Freshman in Ms. Bechelli, Mr. Nuttall, and Ms. Jeffrey's Block 4 class go to upper division lunch at 11:10 and come to Block 4 at 12:00 for a full period instead of a split block.

We are in the final stretch of the school year; let's finish strong! Please check your email today for a message from Ms. O'Neill with a complete schedule of Study Week and Final Exams.

Student-Athletes: If you signed up for the June 3rd Pre-participation Physical Exams at SHC, this Thursday, May 29th is the deadline to pay the $25 fee and submit the forms to the athletic trainers, Mr. Oscar Melero or Ms. Heather Terbeek.

LVY:  Our last reflection meeting is today during the White Period in room 208.  

Attention students enrolled in AP Lit and Comp for next year: There will be a short, but mandatory meeting about this summer's assignment. You may choose to attend the meeting in Room 503 during either the White Period at 1:35 on Tuesday or the Blue period at 9:00 on Wednesday. Attendance will be taken.

Any student-athlete who still has an athletic locker is asked to remove all personal items and return the red lock to Ms. Momono or Mr. Freed.  All locks will be removed on Tuesday after school and all remaining items will be discarded.  If you have lost your lock, please pay the $5.00 fee.

If you are not a member of the SHC Library Schoology group, be sure to sign up today on Schoology. All summer assignments will be posted in the Resources section of the Library Schoology page.

Congratulations to seniors Maggie O'Donovan and Kylie Lenox for being the first ever SHC players named to the US Lacrosse All-Academic team!  Their efforts on the field, in the classroom and in the community have been recognized by US Lacrosse in this national honor.

Our annual "gently used supply drive" is ON...
We encourage all of our students/teachers/staff to donate any/all of the following:
-Notebooks (with extra unused paper)
-Binders
-Rules
-Pencils, pens, markers, highlighters
-Tape, scissors, rulers
-Novels
-Binder dividers
-Book covers
-Pencil cases
-Locker dividers
While there will be a strong instinctually urge to purge
and toss....

Please look for boxes around the campus that are clearly marked.

For anyone interested in playing on the girls golf teams in the fall, there will be a meeting after school on Thursday.  It will be held in the Dining Hall and will go over details for practice & play during the summer

If you received a Pre-participation Physical Exam at UCSF on Saturday, May  3rd, you MUST submit the forms to the athletic trainers Mr. Oscar Melero or Ms. Heather Terbeek ASAP.   You are not cleared to participate in athletics including conditioning until the forms are on file with them.

We will be holding Pre-Participation Physical Exams on campus on Tuesday, June 3rd after Finals.
