Advancement Event Coordinator

The Advancement Event Coordinator is an integral member of the Office of Advancement, increasing outreach to our constituents through various events that meet the expectations of the SHC brand and mission. The Office of Advancement looks for opportunities to enhance the work we do by revamping current events and establishing new ones. This person will be a key collaborator on the team, responsible for the coordination and logistics of various events on and off campus.

The coordinator will work primarily with the Office of Advancement, and will also support the coordination of events hosted by the Office of the President, Admissions, and other school departments, as needed; approximately 25-35 events per year. A majority of the events are held on SHC’s campus. The coordinator will work on the following, but not limited to: Walkathon, Blue and Green Bash, President’s Dinner, Parents Association Spring Gala, Gold Club Luncheon, Gold Diploma, Baccalaureate Reception, Lasallian Vincentian Award, Parent receptions, Board celebrations, Alumni Socials, Speratus Wine Tastings, Hall of Fame, Golf Tournament, Admissions Receptions, and other events.

College Advisor

SHC college advisors will work collaboratively with each other, students, parents, teachers, school counselors and colleges/universities to guide students throughout their four years at SHC in the college research, preparation, application, acceptance and enrollment process. SHC college advisors will work throughout the calendar year and report directly to the Director of Counseling and Advising (DCA).

Assistant Director of Student Support Services/Piro Scholar Program Coordinator

The Asst. Director of Student Support Services/Piro Scholar Program Coordinator (ADS3) works with the Director of Student Support Services to prepare SHC’s most socially-economically at risk students for success. He or she works with current and prospective students, their families, and young alumni to ensure that the students’ academic, social, and personal needs are met, and to coach them to effectively self-navigate. He or she directly reports to the Director of Student Support Services.  As part of the role, this individual serves as the school counselor for Piro Scholars and other students within the Student Support Services Program.  Therefore, the individual is also supported by and responsible to the Director of Counseling and Advising.

This is a full-time, twelve month position.  The administration and coordination of year-round programming makes up approximately half of the position and school counseling makes up the other half.  Thus, the ADS3 is a part-time program director/coordinator and a part-time school counselor.

Instructor of Mathematics

We are seeking a dynamic Mathematics teacher to teach at least part-time (three-fifths) and possibly full-time (five-fifths) in a variety of Mathematics courses. The Mathematics Department collaborates to facilitate an inquiry curriculum incorporating California State Standards and 21st Century learning skills. The mission of the SHC Math Department is to help our students learn the language of mathematics and be able to describe the world around them using that language. We are committed to providing a curriculum that meets the needs of all students through innovative learning activities, real world applications, and creative connections across disciplines. We aim to teach our students how to use diverse mathematical methods so they can more critically understand and interpret the world around them and arrive at both creative and objective conclusions about the problems presented to them.

Director of Educational Technology

The Director of Educational Technology (DET) provides vision, leadership, organization and oversight for all areas of educational technology at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. He or she is primarily responsible for the development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of instructional technologies to support the mission of the school. The DET will work with the administration, faculty, and staff to integrate the most effective pedagogy and tools for student learning throughout the school and each academic department. The DET is a full time position directly accountable to the Principal.

Advancement Associate

The Advancement Associate will be responsible for supporting the functions of the fundraising efforts of Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, including processing donations, acknowledging donors and updating and maintaining the SHC donor database, which houses information about all alumni, current students, friends of the school, and current and former parents. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory’s alumni include graduates from Sacred Heart, St. Vincent, Cathedral, and Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory high schools. The Advancement Associate will work with other Data Team members to maintain/improve the database and help process gifts.

Vice President, Finance & Facilities

Reporting to and partnering with the President, sets SHC’s financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy.   This position leads all financial administration, business planning, budgeting and operations.  As a member of the senior leadership team, this individual works closely with a motivated and engaged finance and governance committee of the Board of Regents and the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
